HUMANITY IN ISLAM

HUMANITY IN ISLAM

It is one of the fundamental decrees of Islam that we should help and serve others. This is the thing that we have been requested by Allah and His Prophet to do, and this is the thing that we have been instructed by our Imams. It is our obligation to help a man who is in trouble, regardless of whether he be a Muslim or a non-Muslim.

One day, a companion of Imam al-Sadiq (an) originated from some other place to see him in Madina, where the Imam was then remaining. Over the span of discussion, he said to the Imam, "O' Holy Imam! A few wanderers are remaining in our town. They come around once in a while and look for offer assistance. Lamentably, they are not Muslims. Would it be advisable for us to help them?"

The Imam answered, "It is our obligation to help each poor individual. It has no effect whether he is a Muslim or a non-Muslim

Islam views those rich people as upright who meet every single budgetary commitment comprising of zakat and privileges of the relatives, poor people and the penniless.

As and when Imam Ali (a) named anybody to the governorship of a territory, he used to give the man various guidelines. One of those directions was this:

"Continuously give individuals their rights, regardless of whether they be Muslims or unbelievers. On the off chance that they are Muslims, they are your brethren in-confidence and regardless of the possibility that they are not Muslims, they are your kindred creatures".
